Your grandma is my hero
Haircuts, locksmiths, and a female Batman
Nerds,
I salute you from Miami, finally back home after 2+ months of heavy travel.
Berlin, Madrid, Milan, Dolomites, Galicia, Panama, Nashville, Singapore, Malaysia, Phuket, and Hawaii - sleeping in my own bed has never felt so good!
My favorites you may ask?
The wrinkly mountains of Hanalei Bay paired with a warm Pacific Ocean.
Bars in Berlin so secret, they make you put a sticker blocking your camera.
Live country, soul, and rock everywhere in Nashville, including the airport.
Hot yoga studios so traditional, they only do 90 min Bikram classes.
Paragliding through the Dolomites, an Italian gem where people spoke German.
Museum Barberini, the largest collection of Monets in Europe outside of Paris.

👒 Hats, haircuts, and tattoos: Every decision we make is a hat, a hair cut, or a tattoo.
Hats: can be exchanged easily, the consequences of a bad decision are low.
Haircuts: may take a while, but hair grows back eventually.
Tattoos: permanent - even the laser option is painful and expensive.
Most decisions are hats. The haircuts are usually worth the risk. Few decisions are tattoos, so you can afford moving slower.
— Thank you James Clear for this gem.
Grandmas with haircuts worth the risk
🔐 The locksmith moment: The best spot to place a locksmith ad is in the entrance of a house.
Most days, they’ll forget it’s there. But when they forget their keys, they’ll know exactly who to call.
Customer discovery is about finding that locksmith moment. How can we meet the customer exactly when they’re having the pain to lend the extra hand?
🦸🏻♀️ Hero's Journey: Joseph Campbell realized there’s a blueprint for storytelling - a pattern found in everything from ancient myths to modern blockbusters.
The ordinary world: Hero lives their normal life
Call to adventure: Something shakes things up
Refusal & mentor: Freaks out, meets a guide
Crossing threshold: There’s a point of no return
Tests, allies, enemies: Makes friends, faces challenges
The ordeal: Hits rock bottom, transforms
The reward: Gains new wisdom
The resurrection: Returns changed, shares wisdom
It's the universal story of transformation we never get tired of.

Tropical, fresh, and with a sweet bass - this song makes me want to swim in the Phi Phi Islands.
